It’s Time for ASIA! The next Race under the Asia Regional Series is scheduled to take place in India from 1st to 3rd of July 2022 hosted in Chikkamagalur – The Coffee Land of Karnataka
“Adventure Racing Championship India” is an opportunity for Asian Teams to qualify for Regional Championship. This exclusive event is designed as part of growing the sport in the country where all the teams who race Sprint Races hosted by NthAdventure earn points as well as qualifier positions for this annual event. And the best part is the winner of the India Champs qualifies for Asia Regional Championship.
Race Director Ajita Madan and Sayeesha Kirani Said, “We are excited and happy to bring the Championship event to Chikkamagalur District. Chikkamagalur is known for its diverse flora and fauna, mighty western ghats, home for wildlife, rich in history, hospitality, culture, cuisines, and amazing history of coffee. The versatile landscapes are perfectly suited for adventures as well as Tourism around the year. This location is a watch-out for sure and perfectly suited for Expedition Style Racing. It will be an absolute pleasure to showcase the hospitality of this wonderful Coffee city to the world through this sport.”
Sayeesha Kirani said “Including the nature and wilderness in its true form, we strive to make our races unique by highlighting the most beautiful parts of each region. Along with including as many disciplines as possible and challenges for our teams to experience and adore the sport in their home country. And this one is going to be a monsoon edition and our racers are already excited to tackle the unique challenges of this course. This race has two categories 150KM and 70KM with an upper time limit of 30 hours. Teams race non-stop in multiple sports disciplines which include, Hiking, Trail Running, Mountain Biking, Orienteering, water Tubing, and local cultural elements."
Ajita Madan said “The race would not be possible without the immense support from Department of Tourism - Chikkamagalur, Department of Forest, and Chikkamagalur Resort Owner’s Association who are working towards boosting tourism as well as safeguarding the wilderness.
