‘Adventure’, is defined in the Oxford dictionary as, ‘An unusual, exciting, or dangerous experience, journey, or series of events.’ And as, ‘Excitement and the willingness to take risks, try new ideas, etc.’ But the definition of adventure for each person is as different and unique as the person himself.
Adventure can be described as exposing yourself to something unknown and having the courage to go through with it, doing something that is challenging for you, overcoming your fears and coming out as a better version of yourself. It could be learning a life skill, making a decision that could change your life or trying to succeed in whatever you are doing. An adventure will always end with learning something new about yourself.
It is not the task that is adventurous, but the feelings that are associated with it. The sense of thrill and excitement at the start, the determination to complete it and finally the feeling of pride and accomplishment on completing it. So, if this is what you are feeling, you are on an adventure- regardless of the time, place or work you are doing. Be adventurous in your everyday life and you will never have a dull day.
But if you aren’t able to find adventure in the vicious circle of routine, then feel excitement flowing through your veins and triumph fill your heart with adventure sports like try trekking, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, river rafting, abseiling and many more. A dose of rejuvenation of body and mind is guaranteed with these sports.
