Virtual - Tandem Challenge (Team of Two)

Time to explore, learn, challenge & compete virtually. Next in line is our “Tandem Challenge”, which require a teammate where a team of two will be racing together, both will be contributing equally towards the team score. “Tandem Challenge” will have two main components CYCLING and RUNNING.

Team participants have the liberty to choose which leg they want to choose based on their strengths either Cycling or Running, whereas other tasks will be common for both participants. Cumulative time clocked by both the team members will be considered for the ranking.

Your teammate can be from your home, neighbour, or different state or Country. Do involve your friends, families and participate together while maintaining social distancing. Make sure to take all safety measures as prescribed by the government.

• o 10 KM Tandem Challenge (5KM Cycling / 5 KM Running)
• o 20 KM Tandem Challenge (10 KM Cycling / 10 KM Running)
• o 50 KM Tandem Challenge (25 KM Cycling / 25 KM Running)
• Dates: 30th July to 2nd August 2020 - Indian Standard Time (IST)
• The last date to submit: 3rd August 2020 at 06:00 AM - IST
• Disciplines: Cycling / Running / Other Tasks
• Points allocation & How to earn points: Will be shared with registered participants prior to the event

How to participate:

1. Register yourself on NthAdventure website.
2. Join the NthAdventure Adventure Race club on Strava: https://www.strava.com/clubs/677596
3. All registered participants will get access to detailed info before the race
4. Each athlete will also receive a Virtual Tandem Challenge submission form a day prior to the race. All the leg completion and uploading of your pictures/screenshots to be updated on this link
5. Virtual Tandem Challenge begins on 4.00 AM IST on 30th of July 2020
6. Last day to submit your virtual adventure race would be 3rd August 2020 at 06:00 AM - IST

Important Notes:

1. Make sure to take all safety measures as prescribed by your government
2. The idea behind Virtual Tandem Challenge is to bring awareness about the sport as it involves coordination with your teammate and motivating each other when needed
3. You can run this Virtual Tandem Challenge any time within the allotted date & time
4. You can run this Virtual Tandem Challenge anywhere from this planet or neighbouring planet, yes ISS included
5. Teammates can do Virtual Tandem Challenge together if you are allowed too
6. One can plan Virtual Tandem Challenge in stages, it is not mandatory that you must complete 10 KM out of 10 KM at once, but if you are willing to run the complete course you are welcome
7. Exact KM’s to be visible on the Cycling & running submission. 0 .1 -100 meters ahead or behind will lead to -10 points.
8. We reserve the right to use, publish, share the entries submitted during this challenge with the adventure racing community
9. Lastly, stay safe, follow the safety norms, be honest, do not forget the spirit of the race and enjoy this amazing sport virtually.
